Tai Chi Chuan is a Chinese method of exercise that offers great health benefits for all ages. It is becoming widely popular as a system which promotes physical and psychological unity and health. In the beginners' classes, students learn the five section form or Short Form of the Yang style. Yang style Tai Chi is characterized by slow, even tempo of it's movements, and large circular shapes of it's postures. While Tai Chi appears smooth and effortless, good practice utilizes muscles throughout the body, including legs, arms and torso.
